This European Standard defines terms and their definitions relating to wood flooring and parquet. This European Standard reflects the structure of the products available on the market starting from biological differentiation. Clause 3 defines products totally made of wood or with a top layer made of wood. Clause 4 defines products totally made of lignified materials other than wood or with a top layer made of lignified materials other than wood. Clause 5 points to other floor coverings. Clause 6 focusses on definitions of elements and their characteristics. Clause 7 deals with terms related to the installation. Terms describing geometrical characteristics are in Clause 8. Patterns are defined in Clause 9. Terms qualifying wood flooring are defined in Clause 10.
