This European Standard specifies the backflow prevention properties, dimensional and physico-chemical properties as well as the properties of general hydraulic, mechanical and acoustic design for anti-pollution check valves of nominal sizes DN 6 to DN 250 - Family E, type A, B, C and D. It also specifies the test procedures and requirements to verify the backflow protection properties of stop valves, draw-off taps etc. which incorporate a check valve function.
