Summary
This part of EN 1400 specifies safety requirements and test methods relating to the mechanical properties of soothers. This standard is applicable to products which resemble a soother. This standard does not apply to products designed for specialist medical applications, e.g., those relating to Pierre-Robin Syndrome or premature babies.
Notes
A transition period, as set out in DIN EN 1400 (2013-06), exists until 2014-03-30.
