DIN EN 14023:2006-01

This European Standard specifies the properties and relevant test methods for polymer modified bitumens which are suitable for use in road construction and maintenance. In this Standard, polymer modified bitumens are bitumens modified with one or more organic polymers (see EN 12597). This European Standard is a grading system and is not necessarily related to functional behaviour of the modified bitumen in its application. In order to fulfil the desired functional requirments, it is necessary to demonstrate the behaviour of the modified bitumen using the appropriate functional test method(s) on the final material (e. g. asphalt mix or surface dressing).
