Stationary source emissions - Quality assurance of automated measuring systems; German version prEN 14181:2012

Summary

This revision to EN 14181 specifies procedures, which amend the general principles laid down in EN 14181 limited to the following topics: installation of AMS taking into account EN 15259; treatment of already existing AMS; establishing a calibration function for low levels of emissions (method C); application of the SRM in QAL2 and AST (influence of the quality of the SRM measurements on the results); use of reference materials in QAL2; calibration of peripheral AMS; treatment of outliers in QAL2 and AST; reduction of the number of measuring days for the QAL2 measurements in cases where proven knowledge is available on the basis of a previous full QAL2 calibration and AST that the variations in the emissions are limited and without changing the statistical significance of the results; reduction of the number of manual moisture measurements in QAL2 by an alternative approach (worst case scenario); alternative approaches to determine the limits applied in the control charts in QAL3; correction of possible errors in the mathematical equations in the annexes of EN 14181.
