This European Standard specifies tolerances, flatness, edgework, fragmentation and physical and mechanical characteristics of monolithic flat thermally toughened alkaline earth silicate safety glass for use in buildings. Thermally toughened alkaline earth silicate safety glass has a safer breakage behaviour when compared with annealed glass.
