Summary
This standard provides information on conduction of noise emission measurements and the determination of noise emission values and their verification. Noise emission values include both emission sound pressure levels at workstations and sound power levels. This standard provides the basis for - declaration of noise emission values by the manufacturer; - comparison of noise emitted by machines; - application of noise control at the source; - estimation of noise emission (exposure) at the workplace or workstation.
