Summary

The standard describes a method for controlling the European limit value of 5 µg/m3 for benzene. The method uses enrichment of benzene on polymerous sorbents, from which it is desorbed by rapid heating. After gas chromatographic separation from other compounds benzene is detected by a suitable detector.
