Summary
The standard describes a method for controlling the European limit value of 5 µg/m3 for benzene by atomated measuring systems. The method uses enrichment of benzene on polymerous sorbents, from which it is desorbed by rapid heating. After gas chromatographic separation from other compounds benzene is detected by a suitable detector.
