This European Standard specifies the: - required inputs; - calculation method; - required and resulting outputs, for heat generation systems, thermal solar systems (for space heating, domestic hot water production and the combination of both) and for photovoltaic systems applied in buildings. In Germany Directive 2010/31/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the energy performance of buildings is implemented by the national Energieeinsparrecht. The national Energieeinsparrecht is based on national and European Standards and national pre-Standards, which have been specified for implementation in Germany.
