Summary

This European Standard, specifies the safety requirements and their verification for the design and construction of hand-held integrally powered and back-pack powered, garden vacuums and garden blower/vacuums with or without shredding means and garden blowers for use at and around the home or for similar purposes. In addition, it specifies the type of information on safe working practices (including residual risks) to be provided by the manufacturer. It is applicable only to machines which are to be used by one operator only.
