This European Standard applies for thermal spray coatings. It contains basic recommendations for design of components, which have to be thermally coated completely or partially. The recommendations apply as well as for new manufacturing and for repair of e. g. worn out components. The coating may be of metallic, metal-ceramic, oxide-ceramic type or out of plastics.
