This document will contain the planetary protection requirements, including the: - overall planetary protection management requirements; - technical planetary protection requirements for robotic and human missions (forward and backward contamination); - planetary protection requirements related to procedures;Document Requirement Descriptions (DRD) and their relation to the respective reviews.This document will describe the planetary protection requirements applicable for ECSS Space projects and will be based on the already published ESA Planetary Protection Requirements (which content has been coordinated with the NASA planetary protection office) and the COSPAR planetary protection policy and requirements.
