Summary
This standard, together with the proposed Part 1, will represent a revision of the existing EN 16623:2015 'Paints and varnishes - Reactive coatings for the fire protection of metallic substrates - Definitions, requirements, characteristics and marking'. It will specify specific requirements for reactive fire protection products, additional to those given in Part 1, that are applicable when a product is to be applied to structural members made from ferrous based material with the intention of providing those structural members with fire resistance performance.
