Sustainability of construction works - Assessment of economical performance of buildings - Calculation method; German version prEN 16627:2013
Summary
This European Standard is intended for the economic evaluation and assessment of design options and specifications for new and existing buildings and refurbishment projects. This assessment method meets the requirements expressed in the standard FprEN 15643-4. The standard provides methods to assess the economic performance of a building and gives the means for the communication of the outcome of the assessment. The economic performance assessment of a building addresses the life cycle costs or financial value over the life cycle, or both, all expressed through monetary indicators. It excludes the economic risk assessment of a building and return on investment calculations. The standard describes: - the object of assessment; - how to define the system boundary at the building level; - the indicators and procedures to be used for the assessment - the requirements for presentation of the results; - the data required for the assessment; The assessment covers the full lifecycle of the building. It uses information about the building as a whole, including relevant information related to design, construction products, processes and services. The interpretation of the results of the assessment and the use of the results for valuation of buildings are not within the scope of this standard.
