This European standard specifies a standard headstock layout where all the necessary components for the 'European' manual coupling of the vehicle are defined in shape and location in order to allow the manual mechanical coupling of trainsets or vehicles in normal or rescue conditions in safe condition for workers. The standard deals with the location on the headstock of:- Buffers;- Screw coupling systems;- Head cocks;- Pneumatic half coupling;- Berne 'rectangle'
