Summary
This document defines safety requirements for precommissioning inspection, maintenance, operational inspection and checks of installations for passenger transportation by rope. Its requirements will be observed taking into account the various systems and their respective environment. It includes requirements relating to worker protection. It does not apply to installations for the transportation of goods by rope or to inclined lifts. This document does not deal with acceptance testing prior to opening to the public.
