This candidate international standard method is applicable for the determination of theobromine in compound feed by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LCMS/MS) in the tested range of 50 to 700 mg/kg. The actual working range may extend beyond the tested range. Alternative chromatography conditions using liquid chromatography with UV detection are also provided.
