This European standard specifies test methods for determinationof the suitability of two component polyaddition adhesives, such as two component epoxies and two component polyurethanes,for glued-in steel rods in glued laminated timber. The standardspecifies minimum requirements on bond strength and integrity.The standard provides rules for determination of declared characteristic bond shear strength values for design of joints with glued-in rods according to relevant timber design standards.
