DIN EN 1740:1998-06

The document specifies a method of determining the mechanical performances of prefabricated components made of autoclaved aerated concrete or lightweight aggregate concrete with open structure under longitudinal load which may be combined with transverse load. These performance include the deflection and maximum crack width in the sereviceability limit state, the loadbearing capacity (failure load) and the load-deflection diagramm, if required. The component is simly supported at its ends in vertical position and loaded until collapse by a vertical line load with required eccentricity with respect to the plane of component, in order to determine the deflection and cracking behaviour and the loadbearing capacity.
