Summary

This standard specifies safety requirements for the design and testing of platform lifts for mounting on wheeled passenger vehicles, and specifies the safety information that shall be provided for the use of such PLVs. It applies to PLVs: - used for the purpose of embarking and/or disembarking passengers to and from such vehicles; - intended to be fitted, temporarily or permanently, either inside or on the front, side or rear of the wheeled vehicle.

DIN EN 1756-2 (2004-10) remains valid alongside this standard until 2009-12-28.
