DIN EN 1889-1:2011-10

This Standard specifies safety requirements for self-propelled rubber tyred vehicles intended primarily for use in underground mining and other underground workings. It deals with the technical requirements to minimise the hazards during the commissioning, the travelling operation and the maintenance. It does not include drill rigs and earth moving machinery not intended primarily for use in underground mines. Specific hazards associated with special-purpose vehicles, e. g. tankers, explosives vehicles and operation in potentially explosive atmospheres are not adressed.
