Summary
Amendment A3 to EN 30-1-1:2008: The Standard EN 30-1-1:2008 specifies the construction and performance characteristics as well as the requirements and methods of test for the safety and marking of freestanding and built-in domestic cooking appliances burning the combustible gases. It covers the following types of domestic cooking appliances: independent freestanding hotplates, independent built-in hotplates, independent hotplates and grills, table cookers, freestanding ovens, built-in ovens, freestanding or built-in grills, griddles, freestanding cookers and built-in cookers. The Amendment A3 provides requirements on glass components, change requirements on strength of surface of glass ceramic or glass parts not from toughened soda-lime glass and provide fragmentation requirements for toughened soda-lime glass and introduce a test for it.
Notes
A transition period, as set out in DIN EN 30-1-1 (2022-06) and DIN EN 30-1-1 (2024-07), exists until 2024-12-31.
