DIN EN 3758:1998-04

A terminal transmits data to one or more other terminals on a single fibre optic or wire interconnect. The system is intended to operate at 10 Mbit/s or greater. The document specifies the transmission media, the transmitting and receiving terminals, and the associated interface electronics. The concept of operation and information flow on the interconnect and the optical, electrical and functional formats to be employed are also specified. The document will promote commonality with prEN 3910-001 in the areas of hardware, fibre optic and wire transmission media, installation techniques and electromagnetic compatibility behaviour.
