This European Standard contains the initial, start of life dimensional, optical, mechanical and environmental performance requirements which a connector terminated with cylindrical zirconia PC ferrules and assembled single-mode resilient alignment sleeve SC-RJ connector set (plug/adaptor/plug), adaptor and patchcord must meet in order for i tot be categorised as an EN standard product.

DIN EN 50377-6-2 (2004-11) remains valid alongside this standard until 2010-03-01.
