Summary

This draft European Standard specifies requirements, methods of test, and performance criteria for control and indicating equipment (CIE) for use in fire detection and fire alarm systems installed in and around buildings. EN 54-2 has been revised to comply with the requirements of the CPR and to align it with CEN rules for the drafting of harmonized standards. The changes required a complete reformatting of the standard to place the requirements in Clause 4 and the test requirements in Clause 5.
