Summary

The document specifies dimensions of mounting rails suitable for an easy fixing of elektrical components. For the different applications there are different kinds of rails (profiles and material). It well known Top hat rails, C- and G rails are first together specified on one identical international and european standard.

DIN EN 50022 (1978-05), DIN EN 50023 (1978-05), DIN EN 50024 (1980-04), DIN EN 50035 (1980-04) and DIN EN 50045 (1982-04) remain valid alongside this standard until 2003-04-01.*A transition period, as set out in DIN EN 60715 (2018-07), exists until 2020-09-01.
