Summary
This specification describes the PSTIB PHY and DLL layer requirements and protocols on the HFC plant and managed OSP power supplies and related hardware. This specification is part of the suite of specifications developed to support the design and implementation of interoperable management systems for evolving HFC cable networks. Significant changes with respect to the previous edition are in Clause 7, Alternative power supply to transponder interface bus - Physical layer specification.
