DIN EN 60870-2-2:1998-06

The document applies to telecontrol equipment and systems with coded bit serial data transmission for monitoring and control of geographically widespread processes. It specifies classes for environmental conditions (climatic, mechanical and other non-electrical influences) under which the various components of the systems considered in the scope have to operate. It is also a reference document for teleprotection equipment and systems and for equipment included in a distrubution line carrier communication systen supporting a distrubution automation system.
