Summary
This International Standard aims to describe the requirements to apply when reliability block diagrams (RBD) are used, to describe the procedures for modelling the dependability of a system with reliability block diagrams and to describe the procedures for using the model in order to calculate availability, failure frequency and reliability measures.

DIN EN 61078 (2006-10) remains valid alongside this standard until 2019-09-16.
