This document is applicable to instruments for measurement of A-frequency-weighted sound exposure resulting from steady, intermittent, fluctuating, irregular or impulsive sound. Instruments complying with the specifications of this standard are intended to be worn on a person to measure sound exposure. Measurements of sound exposure at the workplace may be useful for determination of occupational noise exposure, in accordance with ISO 1999 and ISO 9612. Amendment A1 concerns EMC, i.e. specifications regarding the immunity of the apparatus and regarding the upper limits on radio-frequency emissions. Amendment A2 concerns an additional testing procedure of the EMC immunity.
