Summary

The purpose of this part of IEC 61300 is to describe the procedure required to measure the statistical distribution and mean attenuation for random mated optical connectors with PC and APC polished 1-row multi-fibre rectangular ferrule as defined in the IEC 61754 series. In this context the term attenuation can also be refferred to as insertion loss.

Notes

A transition period, as set out in DIN EN IEC 61300-3-45 (2024-06), exists until 2024-08-01.
