Summary

This international standard establishes the requirements for simplex, duplex and triplex mineral-insulated metal-sheathed thermocouple cables and thermocouples, which are intended for use in general industrial applications. (Abbreviation MIMS for 'mineral-insulated metal-sheathed' will be used hereafter). It covers only thermocouple cables and thermocouples with base-metal conductors, of Types T, J, E, K and N.

Notes

DIN EN 61515 (1996-09) remains valid alongside this standard until 2019-06-01.
