The Radio Data System, RDS, is intended for application to VHF/FM sound broadcasts in the range 87,5 MHz to 108,0 MHz which may carry either stereophonic (pilot-tone system) or monophonic programmes.

Notes

DIN EN 62106 (2010-07) and DIN EN 62106 Berichtigung 1 (2011-02) remain valid alongside this standard until 2018-05-04.
