DIN EN 809:2012-10

The document specifies the essential safety requirements in accordance with the EC-Directive 'Safety of machinery' concerning the harmonization of the laws of the member states relating to machines. It is applicable to pumps and pump units for liquids. The document establishes the technical safety requirements for constructing, assembling, erecting, operating and servicing of a liquid pump or pump unit. Pumps covered by the document comprise liquid pumps of the rotodynamic and positive displacement, rotary and reciprocating types.
