Summary
This draft European Standard specifies the special provisions and safety rules to assure a certain behavior of lifts in the event of fire. It applies to new passenger lifts and goods passenger lifts in accordance with DIN EN 81-1/2, E DIN 81-5, E DIN EN 81-6 and E DIN EN 81-7. However, it may be used as a basis for existing passenger and goods passenger lifts or new passenger and goods passenger lifts in existing buildings.
