Safety of machinery - System of auditory and visual danger and information signals; German version EN 981:1996+A1:2008.

Summary

The document is applicable to all kinds of danger signals. For cases when light signals are to be used complementary to sound signals, characters are stated for both. The signals shall be clearly perceived and differentiated. An Annex ZB was inserted to show the relation between the standard EN 981:1996 and the essential requirements of the machinery saftey directive 2006/42/EC. Technical changes were not made.

Notes

DIN EN 981 (1997-01) remains valid alongside this standard until 2009-12-28.
