Summary
The document specifies a method, using a dissolver, for the preparation of PVC pastes made from polymerized vinyl chloride (VC). Such PVC pastes are used to characterize the various VC polymers with reference to their rheological properties, as well as beiing a means of establishing consistency between various deliveries. The method can also be used to prepare pastes of other compositions for example with stabilizers) but such pastes cannot be used for resin designation purposes.
