Summary
The document establishes the basis for the determination of the maximum power for propulsion and the manoeuvring speed for occupant safety in engine-powered small craft less than 8 m length of hull. The following types of small craft are exepted from the application of the document: Personal water craft as defined by ISO 13590, canoes and kayaks, inflatable boats as defined in ISO 6185 and racing boats, craft designed and constructed solely for competitive racing.
