Water quality - Determination of arsenic - Atomic absorption spectrometric method (hydride technique) (ISO 11969:1996); German version EN ISO 11969:1996
Summary
The document describes a chemical method for the determination of arsenic in drinking-, ground- and surface water by atomic absorption spectrometry. It can be applied for concentrations between 1 µ/l and 10 µ/l. Higher concentrations can be determined by a suitable dilution of the water sample. The method is based on the atomic absorption measurement of arsenic generated by the thermal decomposition of arsenic hydride.
