DIN EN ISO 12311:2010-11

This standard specifies test methods for sunglasses and related equipment. The test methods are intended as reference methods for making measurements to demonstrate conformance of sunglasses and related equipment with the requirements specified for them in ISO 12312-1. Test methods are given for - construction and materials; - spectrophotometric properties (transmittance, relative visual attenuation quotient for signal light detection, wide angle scatter, polarizing properties, photochromic properties); - optical properties (refractive powers, difference in prismatic refractive powers, local variations in refractive power); - mechanical properties (robustness, ocular impact resistance, deformation and ocular retention, endurance, solar resistance to radiation exposure, resistance to ignition, resistance to perspiration).
