DIN EN ISO 13350:2014-07

This document deals with the determination of those technical characteristics needed to describe all aspects of the performance of jet fans as defined in ISO 13349. It does not cover those fans designed for ducted applications, nor those designed solely for air circulation, e. g. ceiling fans and table fans. The test procedures described in this standard relate to laboratory conditions. The measurement of performance under on-site conditions is not included. The current edition of ISO 13350 cannot be used for comparing efficiency of fans under the EC ecodesign regulations for fans. By defining efficiency based on thrust measurement, this will enable jet fans to comply with the ecodesign regulations. The revision of ISO 13350 aims to incorporate efficiency calculations based on thrust measurements to enable compliance to the EC ecodesign regulations for fans.
