Summary
This International Standard which was adopted as European Standard applies to all machines and associated equipment used in all applications where hygiene risks to the consumer of the product can occur. It specifies hygiene requirements of machines and provides information for the intended use. Excluded from the scope are requirements for the uncontrolled engress of microbiologocal agents from the machine.
Notes
DIN EN ISO 14159 (2004-05) remains valid alongside this standard until 2009-12-28.
