Summary

The standard specifies terms and definitions and hygiene requirements for the formulation, manufacture, use and handling of lubricants which may come into incidental contact with products (e. g. foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, tobacco products and animal feeding stuffs) during manufacture and processing. The contact is not preventable. This special lubricants are also called food-grade lubricants.
