Summary

This International Standard specifies requirements and/or measures to remove hazards and to limit risks on turning machines and turning centres which are designed primarily to work cold metal. This Standard is applicable for all types of turning machines. In the Standard reference is made to different turning machine sizes and the grade of automation. With amendment 1 it is possible to use alternatively EN 954-1:1996 or ISO 13849-1:2006 to proof the safety of the machine.
