Summary
This International Standard specifies requirements for low-pressure hose assemblies intended for use with the medical gases - oxygen, - nitrous oxide, - medical air, - helium; - carbon dioxide, - xenon, - specified mixtures of the gases listed above, - oxygen-enriched air, - air for driving surgical tools, - nitrogen for driving surgical tools, and for use with vacuum. This International Standard does not specify the design and allocation of the connectors to medical gases and vacuum. This draft amendment introduces the term 'oxygen 93' as a replacement of the term 'oxygen-enricher air' and it also introduces the designation 'O293' for the medical gas oxygen 93.
