This standard specifies particular requirements for the essential performance of anaesthetic vapour delivery devices. This standard is applicable to anaesthetic vapour delivery devices which are a component of an anaesthetic system and are intended to be continously operator-attended. This standand is not aplicable to anaesthetic vapour delivery devices intended for use with flammable anaesthetics. This standard is not applicable to anaesthetic vapour delivery devices for use with anaesthetic breathing systems (e. g. draw-over vaporizers).
