Summary

This Standard specifies particular requirements for the essential performance of anaesthetic ventilators. Anaesthetic ventilators covered by this standard are always a component of an anaesthetic system and are intended to be continuously operator attended. Anaesthetic ventilators intended for use with flammable anaesthetics, as determind by Annex BB, are outside the scope of this Standard.
