Summary
The document describes two microbiological methods for the determination of Eschericia coli(E.coli) and coliform bacteria in potable water.The methods base on the membrane filtration.Using the standard method the colonies are counted after an incubation time of 2 to 3 days,the rapid test allows the detection of E.coli after 21 to 24 hours.
