DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017-02

DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 sets out the general requirements which laboratories of any size have to meet if they are to be recognized as competent and able to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling. DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 covers testing and calibration performed using standardized methods, methods not covered by standardized methods and laboratory developed methods. Besides requirements on the competence of laboratories DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 also includes requirements on impartiality and consistent operation. DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 is applicable to all organizations performing tests and/or calibrations. These include, for example first party, second party and third party laboratories, and laboratories where testing and/or calibration forms part of inspection and product certification.
